The wedding place and date

Once the decision to marry, most important is to set the date and place of the wedding. Today, it is common to opt for a religious wedding in a church or a civil wedding at city hall or courthouse.

Decide the place where they held the wedding ceremony is one of the first steps that must be given when planning a wedding.

Usually the bride and groom want to get married in the cathedral of the city in which they live but not always possible due to long waiting lists and the time that grant restricted for wedding ceremonies.

Another option is to marry in a church, usually the parish of the bride, in a chapel or a shrine that is the taste of the couple or have a special meaning for them. In these cases, the ceremony will gain a more intimate, and the site will look much more global decor that if you hold the ceremony in a larger space. But beware, if we decide on a chapel or hermitage we must consider the number of guests to ensure that everyone can enter the enclosure.

On the other hand, although less frequent, religious weddings can also take place outside a church, for example in a tent on a farm, but few priests who are willing to perform the ceremony elsewhere than ecclesiastical enclosure.

In the case of civil weddings there are two options: hold the link in court and officiated by a judge with the clerk of court, often a very quick ceremony and cold, impersonal character. Or marry at City Hall, in this case the ceremony will be officiated by the mayor or in his absence by a legal representative of the council.
